I have a sofa that  needs a 44"+- wide dust cover put on.  Without having to buy a 100 yard roll of 42" cambric, I'm looking for alternatives that I can buy locally by the yard.  I'm thinking black muslin, but that's not showing up either.  Anyone have any suggestions.  This is the third time in 7 years I've needed it and run out of my short supply.

you can use ANY black fabric

Go to a quilting shop---or any fabric store---and ask them for 45" wide black fabric

Quilting shops should have it for quilt backing

Why not just sew you're cambric together.

All the above are good ideas.   Before I could make it to JoAnn's, the delivery company bought some wide cambric by the yard from a mattress store, The Original Mattress Factory.

File this away for future reference.
