I own and operate a small upholstery workroom in a barn on my property. Due to local zoning regs, I cannot have a sign, or a retail presence. I keep busy doing furniture reupholstery, boat interiors (and some covers), cornices (but no drapes or window treatments), cane and wicker repair, among other stuff. I do not do slipcovers, auto interiors, or refinishing. (I find that I am busy enough without taking on additional skills!)
